ISA Certified Arborist®
To earn an ISA Certified Arborist® credential, you must be trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of arboriculture. 
ISA Certified Arborist® have met all requirements to be eligible for the exam, which includes three or more years of full-time, eligible, practical work experience in arboriculture and/or a degree in the field of arboriculture, horticulture, landscape architecture, or forestry from a regionally accredited educational institute. 
 
Certification validity: 3 Years

ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ)
Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) is an ISA qualification programme that trains certified arborists how to use the methodologies outlined in the ISA Best Management Practices for Tree Risk Assessment. 
 

This qualification promotes the safety of people and property by providing a standardized and systematic process for assessing tree risk. 
 

Certification validity: 5 Years

Certified Practising Horticulturist
The Certified Practising Horticulturist (CPH) Programme certifies the credentials of individuals who have completed the CPH Recognition Training, CPH Examination, CPH Project Report and who have met the experience requirements set forth by the CPHB. 
 
Individuals who have completed the above requirements are conferred the title ‘Certified Practising Horticulturist’ (CPH). 
 
This programme is accredited with the Australian Institute of Horticulture, a highly distinguished professional body for horticulturists in the sub-tropics.
 
Certification validity: 3 years
 
Maintaining Your Certification
A CPH shall accumulate at least thirty (30) Continuing Education Units (CEUs)* and pay the re-certification fee by the end of the three (3)-years period for renewal of the certification. 
* Excess CEU will not be carried over to the new certification period.

Extension of Certification Period
CPH who has insufficient CEUs for recertification will automatically be granted six (6) months extension. No further extension will be granted.

 

De-certification 
If a CPH holder did not fulfil the re-certification criteria before expiry date (both extended and non-extended), his or her certification will expire.

 

Re-certification
CPH holder will need to retake the CPH full programme or Assessment-only-Pathway (AOP) and meet the passing requirements set by CUGE. The renewed certification period starts from the original expiration date, not the extended expiration date.

Certified Playground Safety inspector Programme
 The Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) Programme is a professional certification programme accredited with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), USA.

 

CUGE, in collaboration with the International Playground Safety Institute (IPSI), conducts this training and assessment programme.  The 5-day rigorous programme focuses on the standards and practices of installation and maintenance of playground and recreation facilities.
